Meet Dr. T

Dr. Teresa Renfroe, DACM, AP, is an acupuncture physician, educator, and author specializing in integrative oncology and Chinese medicine. She currently serves as an administrator and faculty at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine, where she teaches courses in integrative oncology. She holds a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.Dr. Renfroe's own journey through cancer, and the food-as-medicine principles that carried her through it, form the heart of her book, Healing the Terrain: Food as Medicine — A Chinese Medicine Approach to Cancer Care, published under her imprint, Paper Owl Publishing.Dr. Renfroe lives in Sarasota, Florida, with her wife and family. In her downtime, she enjoys writing, kayaking, playing music, and finding solitude at the beach and in the woods.
